Chef Martin Yan and Wife Donate Archive to �鶹app��

World-renowned celebrity chef Martin Yan’s collection of nearly 3,000 cookbooks, his first wok, thousands of photographs and other media will be the main ingredients in an archive to be established in his name at the University of California, Davis.

Yan and his wife, Susan, both �鶹app�� graduates, recently gifted the items and funds to create the Chef Martin Yan Legacy Archive in the �鶹app�� Library Archives and Special Collections.

‘World’s Greatest Wine Library’ at �鶹app�� Continues to Grow

When Hugh Johnson, author of the ground-breaking World Atlas of Wine, decided to donate his archive of nearly 60 years of wine-book writing to the �鶹app�� Library in 2016, he explained that he had chosen �鶹app�� because, “It’s simply the greatest wine library in the world.”

Warren Winiarski, grape grower, winemaker, land preservationist and philanthropist, has committed $3.3 million to build the most comprehensive collection of wine writers’ work in the world at the library at the University of California, Davis.
