Applying late or for a closed term
Filing deadlines are rarely extended. Check for the most current information on . to apply for admission to a closed term or after the end to a filing period. Consideration of appeals is based on your overall academic record and extenuating circumstances.
Submit appeal requests online with the following attachments:
- A statement that describes your special circumstances
- Official or self-reported academic records
- Any other documentation, we suggest including letters of recommendation
A decision may take several months, depending upon the application term or time of year. We will notify you by email using the address provided in your appeal request.

Application fees
The domestic filing fee for each University of California campus you apply to is $80. For international applicants, the filing fee is $95 per campus. You can make your payment either by credit card or by mail, just make sure follow the instructions in the application.
Fee waivers
Application fee waivers are available to students who can't afford to apply to the University of California. Apply for fee waivers for up to four UC campuses through the .
Eligibility and guidelines
Application fee waivers are available for students who are permanent residents, or U.S. citizens. Your family size and income must fall within specific guidelines for eligibility.
